11 March 2025 - This customer came to us with a stock RS3, looking to make a big jump to a built motor with full frame turbo. After discussing options and his goals for the car, we opted for the Precision 6466 next gen turbo. This is a good option that produces a lot of power, while keeping the turbo lag bearable.
For the engine build, this is a rods & pistons build with our upgraded ARP 625+ head studs. We have run these 10mm head studs to over 900 wheel horsepower on our dyno, and utilize them in nearly every engine build we do.
On the fueling side, to handle the additional power and fuel requirements of E85, we are running a dual pump setup in the tank along with Iroz -10 AN fuel lines to the rail. We are running the stock direct injectors paired with 1300cc port injectors.
This car is tuned on DS1, allowing for map switching and live ethanol mapping. The customer had the choice of low boost and high boost maps, and can fill with anything from pump 91 octane up to 100% ethanol, with no changes needed on his part. The ethanol content is also conveniently displayed on the virtual cockpit display.
On our Mustang AWD dyno, this car was able to lay down a healthy 787 wheel horsepower and 618 wheel torque at 41 psi of boost. Our Mustang dyno utilizes 0 correction factor, so it will typically read 10-15% lower than Dynojets that we have tested in our area.
If you are looking to build your RS3 or TTRS, we have packages from 600 horsepower to over 1200 horsepower. With countless builds completed, we have the knowledge and experience to help you reach your performance goals.
