The CTS Turbo intake system for the 3.0T and 3.2 FSI engines uses a proven open-element design to produce measurable power gains. The factory airbox is not only restrictive, but also serves as a sound baffle for the supercharger. By opening up the intake side, you are allowing the supercharger to work much more efficiently and ultimately produce more power. For customers looking for a more aggressive sound, this intake will also greatly enhance the supercharger "whine".
This intake also separates itself from competitors by using a billet bracket to relocate the secondary injection filter. While others will use zip ties or zap straps, the included billet bracket ensures a clean looking engine bay.
The included heat shield serves to ensure that cool outside air enters the intake. By forming a seal with the hood, you can be assured the filter is separated from the heat radiating in the engine.
